Our Work in Action

What is Noise

What is Noise is a nonprofit new music ensemble focusing on building community. The organization commissioned the musical album Equivocal Duration. The album was shared with Krissy to create response art—a different piece for each track of the album. These works were then auctioned off at a What is Noise charitable fundraiser. One of the resulting works was also selected as the cover art for the album.

Music of Grace Concert Series

Music of Grace is a monthly concert series curated by Grace Church in Silver Spring, Maryland. In January 2021, the Church enlisted Anthony R. Green to perform a six-part clarinet and piano piece entitled “Be Still My Child,” inspired by children’s lullabies. Krissy was commissioned to create response art to each of the work’s six movements. She chose to create works in watercolor, reflecting the whimsical, childlike nature of lullabies.

Krissy chose watercolor for these response works to reflect the music’s childlike wonder and whimsy.
